Cerakote is a high quality custom ceramic firearms finish that is regarded as the best finish on the market. Cerakote has withstood serious lab testing for chemical resistance, hardness and durability. Chemical Resistance testing showed that Cerakote was rated as excellent in 14 solvent tests. Those solvents included denatured alcohol, lacquer thinner, acetone, gasoline and paint stripper. Graphite Black (H-146) underwent a durability test to evaluate impact resistance, and it tested to have an impact strength of 160 inches-lbs (the maximum that the impact tester can measure). Finally, Graphite Black (H-146) was put through a hardness tests. Cerakote achieved the highest hardness rating possible with a rating of 9h.  It comes in a variety of colors including a glossy and matte clear coat. The finish can be applied to almost any material - including metal, wood and plastic. We can apply Cerakote to just about everything, including guns, knives, sunglasses, rims, automotive parts, hunting accessories, and anything you can imagine! 

Cerakote has just released their newest generation of coatings - the Elite Series. The Elite Series is rivaling Teflon in friction resistance and performance; It's also boasting a higher abrasion resistance. Check out the video release from Cerakote below for more information.
